Access Statement

  Introduction
  • Flora Glen Guest House is situated on the B3440, which is the old road into Weston super Mare.
  • We are approximately 3 miles from junction 21 of the M5 motorway.
  •  Also we are only about 10 – 15 minutes even flat walking into the town centre and seafront.
  • We are strictly no smoking.
Pre Arrival
  • The house is of Victorian style and built over 3 floors.
  • We are on the main bus route from Weston town to Bristol and the surrounding areas.
  • The Bus station is approximately 10 minutes walk away and the Train station is approximately 15 minutes walk away. But both usually have a good supply of taxis waiting outside.
  • There are several good taxi firms in Weston that usually give a good service the telephone numbers can be supplied to you.
Arrival
  • Please advise us of your anticipated arrival time, so that we can be sure we are here to welcome you.
  • Our check in time is usually after 2.oopm but earlier arrival may be possible by arrangement.
  • There is off road parking to the front and the rear of the building.
  • Please let us know if you will need assistance with your luggage.


Main Entrance
  • The front door width is 84cm (33in). Then there is one small step 15cm (6in) in to porch way.
  • There is level access through the hall with the registration desk to the far end.
  • The hallway is wide enough for wheelchair access, to the ground floor bedroom. * Please note en-suite to this room will not accommodate wheel chair access.
  • There is a small downward slope into the dining room.
  • All rooms are en-suite
  • The rest of the bedrooms are spread over the remaining two floors.
  • The family room is located on the top floor.
  • All rooms are carpeted and we have central heating throughout.  With the exception of the family room which has it’s own independent heating.
Additional Information
  • All rooms are equipped with tea/coffee making facilities, Flatscreen TV, hairdryer, and ironing board, (please ask for an iron, and or sewing items).
  • We also have wireless connection; which we provide free to our guests all we ask is a voluntary small donation put in the charity box which is located in the dining room.
  •  In the event of a fire we have an automatic fire alarm system and emergency lighting.  Muster point for evacuation is on the pavement to the right hand side of building. There is a fire extinguisher on every landing.
  • Special diets or likes/dislikes can be catered for; please advise before arrival.
  • We are happy to refrigerate any medication on request.
  • We are open all year. Including Christmas and New Year.
